When we went to buy the carpet for our house we were greeted pleasantly by the lady who worked there. We found a beautiful carpet and had them install it throughout our house. This was an excellent, higher priced, name brand carpet, not cheap, with great padding upgrade. Fall and Winter went by with no problems, but as soon as the warmth of Spring hit we began noticing problems. In every room the carpet was buckling around seams and obvious lumps the span of the rooms. They have a year warranty on installation and this began about month 9. We called a few times with no call backs and even went to the store once, but the manager was not in and we still received no call back. Finally by the time we were able to catch him at the store it was passed out year warranty, which I think was a pathetic way for them to try not to take responsibility. Upon explaining to him that we have made several attempt to have this resolved he said he would come out and look. When he did he accused me to my face of steam cleaning my carpets. I told him that I did not do that and still accused me of it. Then, maybe trying to save face, said he would have an estimator come out to find how much it would cost to repair. Upon calling me to set up that appointment he told me that since we were past a year, regardless of their avoidance to us, they would only cover 50% of the repairs. At this point I just wanted it to be fixed so I set the appointment. The carpet repair guy came out. This is a man who is a professional carpet craftsman, doing specialty work and unique custom jobs. He told me flat out that it was a bad installation job and that not even a carpet cleaner would have done this. I asked him what it would have cost to get the job done and he quoted me close to $400 but said he would charge the owner less due to his work relationship. A couple of days later the manager called back and he quoted me about $350 - MY COST!! I was so outraged that I just hung up the phone. He avoided our calls. He ignored us. He accused me of doing something to make the problem happen. Then he tried to make me pay the whole bill he said he would half with me. When they should have covered this completely in the first place!!! I would never recommend them to anyone and have shared my experience with my friends so they don't have the same problem.
